What the studio does

Tolbert Studio designs and builds websites and carefully scoped website features for growing businesses: marketing sites, landing pages, menus and catalogs, galleries, forms and questionnaires, scheduling connections, calculators, and quote-request workflows. It does not take on SaaS application development, native mobile apps, full e-commerce stores, complex custom customer-account, login, or portal systems, or paid-advertising management.

Who you work with

Tolbert Web is the web design and development division of Tolbert Studio. Tolbert Web is a registered assumed name of Tolbert Studio LLC. Your written agreement names the contracting party.

How projects are scoped and priced

Every inquiry starts with the project questionnaire. The studio reviews it personally and, where the project fits, privately invites you to a Discovery conversation. Every package — Starter Presence included — then has a Design conversation. Only after both does a written proposal set out the package, scope, price, payment schedule, and care choice.

Published prices are starting points in US dollars, not quotes and not price caps: Starter Presence from $350, Business Website from $1,500, and Integrated Website from $3,500. A Custom Website Project is quoted project by project. Starter Presence is normally paid in full on acceptance unless the approved order form says otherwise; Business Websites are generally paid 50/50, Integrated Websites 40/30/30, and Custom projects in milestones tied to defined events and dates. Work begins once the agreement is signed and the initial payment has cleared.

What clients provide

The words and images of your business come from you — finalized text and photos for Starter Presence, and source material we shape together on larger projects. Delays in content or feedback move delivery dates accordingly.

Revisions

Each package includes a stated number of revision rounds — consolidated sets of change requests. Extra rounds or scope added mid-project are quoted before they’re built.

Care after launch

Care is billed monthly, separately from the project price: Essential Care $99, Business Care $199, or Growth Care $399 per month. Business Website, Integrated Website, and Custom Website Project begin with an initial three months of Business Care or Growth Care. Starter Presence may choose Essential Care or an ownership handoff instead. A response target is a human acknowledgment with a next step, not a promise that the work is finished in that time. Without an active care plan, approved work is billed at $125/hour — small approved extras in 15-minute increments after a 30-minute minimum — and larger work may receive a fixed quote.

• Unused time does not roll over; included time is a service ceiling, not an hourly bank.
• Work beyond the included time needs your written approval first, at your plan's additional-work rate.
• Cancel with 30 days' notice once any initial term is complete.
• Standard offboarding is $150; complex transfers are quoted separately.
• No 24/7 or after-hours emergency support.
• Third-party costs — licenses, paid APIs, bandwidth, email or SMS, booking tools — are passed through or quoted separately.

Domains, email, and code

Clients should normally own their own domain and business email. Where the studio procures one on a client’s behalf, ownership transfers once all project payments have cleared and the account is in good standing. A completed codebase can be transferred through GitHub on the same conditions after the project is complete. Paid third-party services a site depends on are passed through or quoted separately, and any recurring cost is named before launch.
